At James Hewitt Furniture By Design in Plymouth, we have been designing, manufacturing & installing high-quality bespoke furniture into homes & commercial spaces for over 20 years.

All furniture is handmade in our Plymouth workshop with exceptional attention to detail, tailored specially for you, our client. Our professional, qualified & reliable, bespoke furniture designers offer bespoke fitted wardrobes & complete bedroom suites; home offices; media units; home bars; seating; understairs units; alcoves & alcove cupboards; wall panelling & more; plus bespoke wooden furniture for commercial spaces.

We are committed to providing high-quality, handmade furniture that will help you utilise your space effectively, & enhance your property. Once we have understood your requirements, we will provide you with an estimate. We then visit to carry out a survey. We produce 3D designs to visualise furniture design projects & give our clients a realisation of the finished product. We carry out furniture production in our workshop, to minimise inconvenience & disruption to our clients.
In our bid to be environmentally friendly, all materials we use are responsibly sourced from manufacturers such as Finsa products. Finsa is PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council UK) certified. We also minimise waste materials, and any wood waste that we do create is recycled.
